Shopping
Taynuilt: The nearest shop is Grahams in Taynuilt 7 miles away. This is a grocer and general store and you will find all that you would need to survive! It is usually open a little later than normal and also on Sundays, but it is best to check first. Also in Taynuilt are a butchers shop and a post office.
There is an excellent café in Taynuilt called Robin’s Nest that serves coffees, light lunches and delicious afternoon teas-not to be missed!
Skiing, in season, can be enjoyed at the Glen Coe Ski resort approximately 1 hour away or Aonach Mor.
The west coast islands can be discovered by day trips from Oban, Easdale and other locations along the coast.
Oban is 40 minutes drive away and has interesting shops, restaurants and supermarkets. There is the well known Oban Distillery which has daily tours. McCaig’s folly dominates the town and spectacular views can be enjoyed after a short walk.
